The brand is best known for their Wayfarer and Aviator styles of sunglasses. In 1999, Bausch & Lomb sold the brand of Ray Ban, but NOT Baush & Lomb Lens, to the Italian Luxottica Group. Therefore Ray Bans from 1999 do not have the superlative quality Baush & Lomb lens. I do not have any Ray Ban sunglasses made after 1999. Ray Ban B & L are not only the best sunglasses ever made, in my opinion, but are also collectable as they will not be made again. As someone once said to me, looking through Ray Ban B & L sunglasses is "like looking through a High Definition camera"." M.E. Thank you for looking"
