Dear uc29, Hi John, Thank you so much for your message and the D4 battery kit, which is excellent. I have installed it and tested it and all is well. So nice to know we can change these ourselves! I live in South Africa most of the time but thought I'd send it in for replacement on a quick trip back to the UK. Unfortunately they wanted more time than I had here to change the battery (which was still an improvement on SA). Thank goodness I found your battery kit on eBay, and also removed myself from the shackles of 'not user serviceable'! Dear uc29, Hi John, Info: Received the Battery Kit for Suunto D4, and replaced both o-ring & Battery with no problems. Dove Sunday to 30 mtrs with D4, all working and no flooding. Anyone asks you about changing battery for D4 its easy as long as they clean out the grove where the o-ring sits and lightly silicon grease the o-ring, they will save their selves £40+.
