For sale: Linear power amplifier module for 13cm 2320MHz up to 300Watt 2x BLF8G22LS-160BV
According to the final transistors data, calculated max output power is about 320 W, while driving power is ca 8 mW (+9 dBm).
Module is very compact 17cm x 13cm Aluminium block under PCB is 5.5mm Weight 380g Supply voltage +28Volt
Possible modifications:
For high power output (ca. 300W) isolator ISO-2100-33CW isolator need to be removed because it will not handle full output power
1. Cut the input of the isolator and solder teflon RF cable directly to the 50 ohm PCB track. or 2. Remove the isolator and solder a piece of 50 ohm semi rigid teflon cable (bridge the isolator). Also replace the output connector with a new one, that will be able to withstand ca 300 W @2320 MHz
For lower output power (100-120 W), the isolator need not to be removed.
It is necessary to tune the matching circuits of driving stages for max gain and final transistors for max output power. While tuning, try to solder piece of copper foil to the transistor's in/out pad or cut a piece of the pad (depending on when you get better results). For final transistors, make the same changes for each.
Total gain (calculated): ca. 46 dB
Notification: Important for tuning and operation RF shield/cover absolutely must be used!!!! Apply RF power ONLY with the shield installed. With the high powers being used here the radiation hazard does exist for the eyes. Beware of excessive RF exposure to your eyes and the other parts of the body.
