Genuine RS-70 Radiation Detection Device
Never used, made in 1980s, might have some storage marks Please note that this isn't a typical Geiger Meter. It will indicate radiation when it has reached certain volume which sets off the alarm. It is designed to warn of high radiation level.
RS-70 portable unit is an audiovisual indicator (light and speaker) designed to be used in harsh conditions (damp resistant cover). The meter tube used is DOB-50 wrapped in lead screen.
Takes 4 x “D” batteries (not included), comes with a strap (canvas or leather). Approx. weight 2kg, approx. size 19x17x8cm
They’re in full working order (checked and approved yearly by army personnel, last checks done in 2008, after that they were stored in a warehouse). On top of that each of them will be checked before posting by inserting the batteries and switching to “device check” setting (“K”). Comes packed in original packaging.
