Insert a non-accepted sim card and connect your handset to Wi-Fi. Your handset will automatically update and the sim will start working. On rare occasions the handset may have to be hard reset.

Insert a non-accepted sim card and connect your handset to iTunes. Once connected and drivers etc. are installed, disconnect your handset and re connect again after a few seconds. Now your handset will automatically update and is now unlocked.
