Each pair of shorts is cut from a pair of grade A genuine vintage Levi Strauss 501 jeans. We only use jeans that have a size label which is true to the measured waist size . We never alter the waistline or cut of a pair of shorts, and never rework larger waist sizes into smaller sizes.

All pairs of our shorts share the following features:

  • High waisted
  • Frayed hems
  • Inside and or back label and pocket red tab intact
  • Button fly
  • 1 to 2.5 inch inside leg seam scaled to the waist size. Smaller waists have shorter inside legs*
  • Laundered and ready to be worn

Please note : The garments shown are examples only. As they are all re-worked from vintage denim jeans, each pair of shorts will vary slightly in shade, wash, wear and weight of denim.

* We cut our shorts with a 1 to 2.5 inch inside leg seam. Buyers can easily cut this down if they wish. The frayed hems can be restored by washing the garment in a machine and, for greater effect, giving it a tumble dry.

Condition details Each pair of shorts is cut from a pair of genuine vintage Levi Strauss 501 jeans. They have all been pre-worn and washed. There may be wear throughout especially to the pocket edges and seams, and some of the some cases the back label may be missing but the size label will always be present on the inside.

These shorts are all high waisted, and the waistband sits at the waist, not at the hips. To help you to find the right size, we recommend that you measure yourself around the waist, just below the bellybutton, using a measuring tape. . The following conversion lists are guidelines only.
