Wir bieten Ihnen eine seltene und Original Inkunabel von Stephanus de Caieta. Sehr schöner und seltener zweispaltiger Antiquadruck. Während im allgemeinen das Aufblühen der kleinen und flüchtigen Druckereien, besonders soweit sie von deutschen Meistern geleitet werden, nach dem Jahre 1475 abzuebben beginnt, dauert in Neapel diese Erscheinung noch etwas länger an als anderwärts. Auch das Jahr 1475 sah dort wieder eine neue Presse in Tätigkeit. Ihr Vorsteher, Justus Hohenstein gibt die Diözese Speyer als seine Heimat an... Sein erstes Druckwerk ist das Sacramentum Neapolitanum des Stephanus de Gaieta. Insgesamt 224 Blatt (statt 227), daher unvollständig. Neben den bedruckten Blatt 8, 18 und 229 fehlen die weißen Blatt 1, 9 und 230.

- Moderner Pergament unter Verwendung einer liturgischen Handschrift des 15. Jahrhundert als Deckelbezug

Einband: Bindung fest, Kanten etwas beschabt und bestoßen, Buchblock vom Buckrücken gelockert, etwas verschmutzt

- sehr gute und feste Papierqualität
- sehr guter kräftiger Druck
- Die ersten 9 Blatt fleckig und mit Nageschäden am Rand
- 12 Blatt mit Knick in der rechten oberen Ecke
- anfangs im Bug etwas wurmstichig
- das 1. Textblatt mit 2 kleine Schadstellen (geringer Textverlust)
- letzten 21 Blatt mit Nageschäden am Rand und Knick in der rechten oberen Ecke
- alter Besitzvermerk und Randausbesserungen
- fast durchgehend handschriftliche Lagenbezeichung (meist irrig) von alter Hand
- am oberen Rand durchgehend gering wasserfleckig
- sonst überwiegend sauber

We offer a rare and original incunabula of Stephen de Caieta. Very nice and rare two-column Antiqua print. While generally the flourishing of small and volatile printers, especially if they are led by German masters, begins to subside after the year 1475, this phenomenon takes in Naples on a little longer than elsewhere. The year 1475 again saw there a new press in action. Justus Hohenstein is the diocese of Speyer as his home ... His first printing unit is the Sacramentum Neapolitanum of Stephen de Gaieta. A total of 224 sheets (instead of 227), therefore incomplete. In addition to the printed sheet 8, 18 and 229, the white sheet 1, 9 and 230 are missing
