A former assembler employee has decided to usurp and copy my 10 year veteran probe design, but my probes still have many advantages.

3. Our probes of this design come with shank to ball centering adjustment ability.
4. Unlike some of his, our probe holders are tapered behind the ball to prevent hang-ups when probing. view his red ball tipped probe to see what I mean.
5. Our bodies are laser cut, his are likely band saw cut contributing to inaccuracies.
6. We never stole anyones design for vengence.
This probe tip is MUCH better than our competitors knock-off which is made out of a bolt that has been ground round on the end Look at their tip pictures, ours is smooth and round and 1/4" in dia. How can you get accurate probing with a not perfectly round, kind of hexagon shaped end of unknown questionable un-even diameter, and his shank is larger than the ball causing erronious readings when probing a vertical. Our shank is tapered to smaller than the ball, preventing read errors.
This is a brand new CNC Digitizing probe for replicating items on your CNC machine. Mach 3 has a built in wizzard routine that will make 3Dimensional g-code with this probe. The procedure is simple; Fix the probe to your spindle (Spindle stays Off for this Probing routine). attach the two wires from the probe to your breakout board of your system or to the input connections on your driver board. Black wire goes to pin 18 ground and the red wire can go to whatever pin you set up in the wizzard for input (select from pins 10, 11, 12, 13, or 15) Fasten the "rubber duckie" that you want to duplicate on to your table and set the wizzard to probe the item "rubber duckie" It will probe in a pattern, moving back and forth in a rectangular pattern, and probing the depth all over the part, and creating a g-code to duplicate your part. This is the finest and easiest way to make g-code to duplicate/replicate items. Other probes sell for up to $400. This type probe is accurate up to about five thousandth.

Brass is good for not damaging the surface of softer items that you might scan/prob
This probe measures 2-1/4" in diameter
The overall length is 5" from tip of shank to tip of probe
Probe body is 2-1/4" dia, body is 1" tall
Shank is 1"-1-1/2" X 1/4" dia.
Body is Acrylic, and tips and shank are 1/4" steel
accuracies in the 0.005 range
No software other than mach3 CNC software is needed for this item.
