Soap Making Usage Guidelines:
Micas in Cold Process: Conduct a small test batch
to ensure a splash of stability in your recipe. For Cold Process soap, kick off
with 2 teaspoons of colorant per pound of soap, adjusting for brilliance. Add
the mica during a thin trace for a dance of colors.
Micas in Melt and Pour: Weave micas into your melt
and pour soap effortlessly. Sprinkle the powder into your melted base, and if
mischievous "mica bubbles" appear, a spritz of rubbing alcohol will
make them pop! Stir the concoction until the mica waltzes in, add fragrance oil,
and pour the soap into the molds. For clear bases, use about 1/2 a teaspoon per
pound for a dazzling pearl effect. In opaque bases, apply 1.5% to 2% of the
total weight for a soft pastel symphony. Note: Micas love clear soap where
light enhances their reflective prowess.
