The cylinder makes one full revolution in one week.   CASELLA are a renowned instrument maker and are still trading today, but you can trace it's beginnings back to 1799. Some of the history of the company is as follows: ' Cesare Tagliabue first established a company in London in 1799 to manufacture scientific apparatus during the reign of King George III. Not long after, Louis Pascal Casella joined him in partnership and the Casella company name was born. In the early years, products designed and built by Casella and exported worldwide included navigation/exploration and photographic devices, as well as meteorological and medical research instruments. Some early customers included Charles Darwin and Dr. Stanley Livingstone who relied on their durable and accurate Casella products to carry them safely as they embarked on discovering remote new regions, cultures and species.  '    In addition they exhibited at the first 'Great Exhibition' held in the Crystal Palace, Hyde Park London in 1851.   The base plate is engraved with the maker which reads 'CASELLA LONDON MADE IN ENGLAND'. The movement is stamped with 'GLUCK BAROGRAPH AND RECORDER CO LTD.', '7D R8D' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'.  The barograph is in working order. Free charts and free ink (which are not part of the sale) will be sent with the barograph.   DIMENSIONS: The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are: - 14 1/2 inches (37 cm) long x 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm) deep x  9 inches (23 cm) high.   CONDITION: The barograph is in good working order.  The case is also in excellent condition, as can be seen from the photographs, just minor marks  commensurate with age.
