We will take your mix and make it sound infinitely better and compatible with ALL systems. We have an acoustically treated and fully optimised room, set up for critical listening, evaluation and correction of your music. We boast an amazing gear list, which is unparalleled in Scotland - please check out the selected equipment below. Also, you get an engineer with the experience, musicality and essential listening skills to make a good mix in to a great track. This is the upshot: I'm working at a new tracking, mixing and post-production/mastering facility in the Black Isle, Highlands. The studio is under construction not officially open until later in 2017 however the mastering room is ready and so for a limited time we can offer great/flexible rates for single tracks (inc Mastered for iTunes) , EP, full album mastering, all at a fraction of the usual rate. This can be any genre of music from Heavy Rock to Classical. Happy to discuss budget, deadlines and exciting projects. Get in touch! Technical process: The front end can be played back from 1" 1/2"or 1/4" Tape, CD, DAT, DTRS, cassette, or digital files: initially played out of Sequoia or Wavelab through mostly dedicated mastering hardware. We can utilise up to 15 gain stages, 5 stereo EQs and 4-5 limiters/compressors, most of which are vintage analog and some of the best audio processors ever made. We will not compromise your music with the use of Digital software (plugins) and only use computers to create ddp files and for encoding data. Surgical editing is done using digital hardware (Weiss) or a GML 8200 eq in the analog domain. After processing audio, the master is captured through mastering grade converters (Burl B2) then rendered, usually @16bit 44.1, though we can master for iTunes (AAC) and supply higher bit rates if requested. Files are sent for approval to your inbox. Revisions (if required) are made until you are entirely satisfied.
