This auction is for a very interesting Gent's scientific pocket chronograph, it has a stunning original dial that is set up for looking at production numbers per hour? which I think may have something to do with the name on the dial "Charles Churchill & Company Ltd, London" because this was a huge company at the turn of the 20th century that imported vast amounts of engineering product from the USA, from what I can tell this was a watch made for them in Switzerland to a very high specification with a certain engineering or scientific use in mind? The dial is as good as anything you will find, it has very fine scales around the outside with 30 minute recording as well as Brequet style numbers and hands, none luminous but also marked "Non Magnetic", just a really unusual watch in stunning original working condition. The watch works well, it was wound and set up with at least 24 hrs going and within 60 seconds or better after the day running, the chronograph works but can be a little temperamental, I think this is because it probably needs a gentle clean though looking at the movement its very white and generally in stunning 100% original condition. A very unusual watch, very well made and in almost NOS condition with a unusual Engineering/Scientific connection and one of the best looking pocket chronograph watches you will ever see.
