But to be completely safe its best to try to clean and de rust as much of the surface as you can. Step 1 Remove all oil fuel varnish from the tank using Tankroxx solvent flush or similar Step 2 Remove all loose rust and debris from tank, again wash all out with Tankroxx solvent Step 3 Treat rust with Tankroxx rust remover convertor, agitate tank with suitable bead shot or metal nuts screw etc. Step 4 Wash out with Tankroxx solvent or similar again. Leave to fully dry out. Step 5 Mix Coating thoroughly, pour into plugged, masked paint protected tank and swirl around to coat the entire surface for 15-20 minutes. Leave to dry upside down for 24 hours. Full instructions included in every pack. Storage 5 years unopened. Colour when dry is Red
