Artikelnummer:3021827993843 antique water jugs tray copper brass Sankey lizard skin DAMAGED ewers pitchers. Antique set of 3 metal hot water jugs and matching tray. Made by Joseph Sankey & Sons. These items were originally made as hot water jugs, but they are no longer watertight, and are only suitable for display purposes. They are all in the same pattern, which was called "Lizard skin". Two of the jugs are made of brass, and one jug and the tray are made of copper. Height of the jugs is 11" 10" and 9" (27 cm, 25 cm, 22 cm). Tray is 11 inches (22 cm) across the diameter, and about one inch deep (2.5 cm). Combined weight of all 4 items is 2200g approximately. The markings on them are: Copper jug: MADE IN ENGLAND J.S&S SOLID COPPER 3 1 Large brass jug: J.S&S.B 4 Small brass jug: no markings (the base may be an old replacement?) Tray: no markings Condition Antique jugs and tray, in fairly good decorative condition, but damaged. They are no longer watertight, so they are purely for ornamental use. You cannot put liquids in them. All 3 items need to be cleaned. The two smaller jugs are in good decorative condition. The biggest jug is dented at the spout, and cracked down the front. The tray is in fairly good shape, but no longer perfectly circular, due to knocks and dents. It has marks including greening and some rust. You could clean them up and they would look nice as items of home decor, but they are NOT WATERTIGHT so you could not use them. The smallest jug has a different base from the others. I think this may possibly be an old repair, but it might just be the way it was made. *********************** Postage UK buyers: Courier All other countries: Airmail (please allow 14 days).
