Description

This small soft leather bag is made in the gorgeous romantic renaissance city Florence in the heart of Tuscany from high quality Italian leather. The main compartment is secured by two press studs at each end, and a thin leather strap with a silver coloured metal press clasp, that goes over the top of the bag. Inside, there is a zipped pocket in the lining, and on the outer rear of the bag, there is a further zipped compartment.

The leather shoulder strap is detachable, is fully adjustable via the silver coloured metal sliding buckle, so it could also be worn crossbody, a great bag for all occasions due to it's versatile size.

To get the patterned and metallic effect on certain bags, a laminate layer is placed on top of the leather.

The approximate dimensions are width 20cm, Height 17cm and depth 9cm. The strap to bag drop range is approximately 35cm to 70cm.

We always include a branded dust bag as shown to store your bag in when it is not in use.

There are various types or cuts of leather from the most expensive Full Grain Leather down to the very bottom being Bonded leather, we do have some Full Grain leather bags available, but most are made from Genuine Leather, which is a term for a certain cut.

In brief these are:

•         Full Grain is where only the hair is removed from the hide; this gives a lot of unique appearance qualities due to the imperfections on the surface.
•         Genuine is a lower cut and is buffed or sanded to remove most of the imperfections, but some deeper ones can still show, this is a feature not a fault.
•         Bonded is scraps of leather bonded together the amount of leather can vary from 10-90%. Bags that are very cheap will often be made from this.

Then there is the tanning of the leather, there are two main types, the ancient art of Vegetable tanning, and the more modern Chrome Tanning.

The main differences are:

•         Vegetable is very eco-friendly, and quite rare in comparison to chrome, it takes a lot longer to process, has a limited range of colours and is a lot more expensive.
•         Chrome is a lot quicker, uses chemical so less eco-friendly, but cheaper as 80-90% of leather is tanned in this way.

Due to the leather on these bags being Chrome Tanned, some bags may come with a faint smell that is not the leather, this is the chemical used in the tanning process, this is normal and will wear off quickly.

Most bags will come with a stamp and/or label saying Vere Pelle or Borse in Pelle, translated, this means Real or Genuine Leather, and Leather Bag or Handbag.

All our images are taken using bright daylight photography lights to illuminate the subject. Colours do vary on different computers and monitors/phones/tablets, and will depend on your settings, even something as basic as the brightness, then there is the light that the item is viewed in when received, different times of day and natural light will differ along with, different kinds of indoor lighting. Free returns via eBay, we have set up that eBay will provide you with a pre-paid returns label for easy painless returns. If you do not have a printer, we have our own returns service set up with Royal Mail where you can set up the return label on your smartphone or tablet, take it to your post office and they will print the label for you.

All returns are processed the same day that we receive them.

All exchanges are processed the day that we receive the original item back, you will need to use our own returns for this and not eBay label, eBay insist that we do refunds on the return labels that they generate.
